Lighting Design and Programming by LEAPS (Emily Bornt)

LEAPS was hired by Media Monks to help with an XR/AR Broadcast project in the Verizon 5G Labs in Los Angeles. This project was very unique because it utilized Motion Capture technology as well as Extended Reality with live action, and a live camera feed fed into Display being broadcast live on YouTube so a virtual audience could also interact with polls in real time. The added challenge was that the video volume with the actor was in Los Angeles, while the MoCap and voice actors were being fed via 5G from Chicago. The live classroom was also being beamed in via 5G from Chicago. While LEAPS had a small part in lighting the NFL player in the volume, it was amazing to be a part of such a technological venture.
