BRANDI CARLILE AT THE GORGE, 2023

While on tour with designer Emily Bornt, Brandi Carlile performed for three nights at the Gorge. Bornt was tasked with creating a flexible design that could create different looks for each night’s performances. By adjusting trims of trusses, and adding additional pieces she was able to do so. Here are some of the plots and renders for the weekend of shows.

SCI ANNUAL CONVENTION, January 2021

LEAPS was hired by Encore Global to design a lighting rig for the main booth at the annual convention. The project involved realistically lighting a 20’ tall tree and jungle bar with taxidermy.

JIMMY EAT WORLD, October 2021

LEAPS was hired to operate and update an existing show file, and design a floor rig for the band’s 3 week US tour. It had to fit on a variety of stage sizes, and be flexible for festival setups as well.

DANCE WITH ME, September 2021

LEAPS was hired to design a lighting rig for this dance competition for another operator to run. After a quick site survey and a chat with the vendors, we were able to come up with this budget-friendly rig to cover what the client was looking for.

DANCE WITH NIA, April 2021

LEAPS was hired to design, program, and operate the music video segments for the end of each episode. It was a quick turn around on each episode, on 3 rotating sets. The art department did a lot of scenic placement on the fly, so it meant needing to be flexible with where they decided to actually put scenic elements.

Amazing Industries and LEAPS teamed up to provide lighting and video for MMP’s demo of their new studio Volume.

THE SCORE W/ AWOLNATION ON THE LATE LATE SHOW, October 2020

When The Score and Awolnation filmed their single “Carry on” for the Late Late Show, LEAPS was hired to design their lighting.

BAYSHORE DRIVE IN SERIES, October 2020

LEAPS was hired to design a festival rig for a drive in series, and provide renders to bring in investors and sponsors.

In 2017, LEAPS founder Emily Bornt aided designer Rob Sinclair in a handful of his drafting projects. He provided the foundation, and Emily went through and fine tuned and made changes he wanted to see made, then she expanded the drawings into technical packets of information for the vendor and production.
